Lumbini is situated about 350 km south west of Kathmandu . It was a beautiful garden during the rule of Shakya dyanasty in southwest Nepal . This place is famous because Lord Buddha was born here in 560 B.C. The birth of Buddha at Lumbini has been recorded in the pillar inspiration ( Bhagawan Jateti Lummini game”. The pilgrimage of Ashoka to Lumbini has also been recorded in a stone pillar 300-325 BC. As a Chinese traveler Wen Seg- tsai, visited this place 300-325 AD he found there the Nativity (Ashoka) tree, a statue of lapis lazuli depicting Buddha’s Nativity scene and the marks of seven footsteps of the Buddha, enclosed and covered by lapis lazuli slabs. The monuments unearthed from these excavations are the temple of Mayadevi , (Mother of Buddha), the Ashoka pillar with its 9m-sandstone shaft having five-line inspiration, the bell capital and many things of religious and historical importance . For the visitors to lumbini few importance places to visit observe are:

Mayadevi Temple
The temple of Mayadevi , the mother of Buddha is located close to the Ashoka pillar. The statue of Mayadevi is made out of the stone which is believed to be 2000 years old. People worship Mayadevi as well as Rupadevi.

Puskar Pond
To the south of Mayadevi temple lies Puskar pond where Mayadevi took bath before giving birth to Buddha took his purifying bath in the same pond.

Lumbini Garden
The whole area of lumbini is considered as a garden. Many monasteries have been built through the help of different countries like Thailand , Srilanka, and Japan .
The whole area of lumbini Garden is going to be converted in to the international Center for Buddhist pilgrimage and studies. Professor kenzo Tange, a Japanese architech, developed the master plan of Lumbini.

PARAGLIDING HIGHLIGHTS

Unique way to enjoy landscapes and series of towering mountains from sky

Experience life in air for around 40 minutes

Share sky with some unique birds of the country

experience mountains from possible close distance

To experience life in the air, paragliding tour in Pokhara is much-recommended adventure sports in Nepal. It is one of the youngest sporting events of the country that started from 2007 in Pokhara Lakeside. Experience of Paraglide gives you the sense of free-flying at best cost and time. The views of surrounding mountains from the sky, green forests, white clouds and blue lakes will discover a contented individual in you.

Sarangkot in Pokhara is the paragliding destination from where the flight takes off. The spot is 1,592m from sea level. In this flight of 30-40 minutes, you will share the sky with vultures, eagles, and kites. It is an ecstatic feeling to see villages, temples, and lakes from the sky. Moreover, you will enjoy series of towering mountains namely Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Lamjung Himal, Annapurna, and Himchuli. Finally, you safely land in Lakeside. Moreover, we also offer flights in Bandipur which is a Newar town located between Kathmandu and Pokhara. Here, you can stop and enjoy the beauty of nature, temples, caves, art, culture, and architecture.

TANDEM FLIGHTS IN NEPAL, POKHARA (SARANGKOT HILL)

Tandem flight is the flying adventure that involves a pilot flying with a passenger. Both pilot and passenger have their own harnesses that are attached to each other and the wing. Paragliding harnesses are made up for comfort and safety of the adventurers which are attached to the seat that feels more like an armchair. After take-off, the passenger just sits back and enjoys the beautiful views of Himalayas, rivers, lakes, and landscape. Pictures and video capturing can also be done which is not a problem as well. It is very portable that it can be taken anywhere and can fly from any of the mountains. Taking this type of flights with Nepal Trek Adventure will be more beneficial for you as it provides a reasonable offer with two types of flights.

There is not much time to look at the mountain scenery and surroundings once you are on this river as whitewater action starts! However, en route there is an excellent opportunity to stop in Dulikhel to admire the stunning views of the Himalayas!

The Annapurna Circuit is a trek within the Annapurna mountain range of central Nepal. The total length of the route varies between 160–230 km (100-145 mi), depending on where motor transportation is used and where the trek is ended. This trek crosses two different river valleys and encircles the Annapurna massif. The path reaches its highest point at Thorung La pass (5416m/17769 ft), touching the edge of the Tibetan plateau.

Practically all trekkers hike the route anticlockwise, as this way the daily altitude gain is slower, and crossing the high Thorong La pass is easier and safer. The mountain scenery, seen at close quarters includes the Annapurna Massif (Annapurna I-IV), Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Manaslu, Gangapurna, Tilicho Peak, Pisang Peak, and Paungda Danda. Numerous other peaks of 6000-8000m in elevation rise from the Annapurna range. The trek begins at Besisahar or Bhulbhule in the Marshyangdi river valley and concludes in the Kali Gandaki Gorge. Besisahar can be reached after a seven-hour drive from Kathmandu.
