Annapurna Base Camp Trek (also called Annapurna Sanctuary trek) is still one of the most popular treks in Nepal. For a short trek with few altitude problems, the Annapurna Base Camp Trekking provides you with unparalleled access to spectacular horizons of Snowy peaks. A trek to Annapurna Base Camp combines some of the most fantastic mountain scenery with a fascinating insight into the life of middle hill Nepalese. The trail takes us through an ever- changing landscape of rice fields, misty forests and lowland local villages to the glacier. It offers a fine opportunity to surround oneself with Himalayan Peaks specially witnessing the glacier basin of Annapurna Sanctuary formed by Annapurna, Machhapurchre (Fishtail, Himchuli, and Manaslu). This used to be a complicated trek due to problems with food and lodge. Now there are many new facilities between Ghandruk and Base Camp along this trail only used by trekkers. Annapurna Base Camp can be approached by at least three different routes. Here I have described one of three options.

A trek up into the Langtang Valley has to be one of the most rewarding of the short treks available anywhere in Nepal. Langtang valley trek starts with an overland journey to Dunche, the main trading post of the area. The bus or jeep trip to Syabrubesi takes most of the first day so trekking usually starts there on the second morning. Syabrubesi is located at the end of the road from Kathmandu at the point where the Langtang Khola meets the Bhote Kosi. Though there are now many commercial lodges in Langtang village, in another section you can observe the distinct life style of the original inhabitants in Langtang village that might be interesting for you I think. From Dhunche we spend four days hiking up through this beautiful alpine valley to Kyangjin where we rest for a day for some exploration of the high mountains and glacial systems. Here you can see the Tibetans and Tamangs, who share a similar religion, language and clothing style. Here, mountains rise soaring towards the sky. We track back for three days before taking a different route back to Dunche and onwards to Kathmandu. This trek is ideal for people not wishing to trek over the Laurebina pass 4610 meters.

Everest Base Camp Trek is the second most popular trekking destination in Nepal. Thousands of passionate trekkers makes their goal to Everest Base Camp every year. This website provides a comprehensive about trekking to Everest Base Camp including safety tip, altitude sickness and prevention, packing list, trek map including route variations.

The primary objective of Everest treks is either the Everest Base Camp, about 5, 340 meters. or Kala Pattar, an unassuming (5, 545 meters). A trek into Mount Everest Base Camp is one of the most spectacular adventure treks in the world. Everest Base Camp is not the sole preserve of high altitude mountaineers. Everest Base Camp trek is the quintessential trek to Everest journey begins with an early morning flight from Kathmandu to the Mountain airstrip at Lukla in the heart of the Khumbu Region. There follows a fairly easy day of around three hours to our first stop Phakding. We continue North up the Dudh Kosi Valley to Namche Bazaar, quite a hard day, where we spend a day acclimatizing, good food and accommodation. From Namche we trek to Khumjung Tengboche monastery, the seat of Sherpa Culture. it is mainly a gradual push up to Kala Pattar and Everest Base Camp resting one day in Dingboche or Pheriche for some side trips and further acclimatization. After some spectacular close up views of Everest along with Nuptse Lohtse and Mount Pumori we retrace to Lukla for our flight to Kathmandu.

The Annapurna Circuit is a trek within the Annapurna mountain range of central Nepal. The total length of the route varies between 160–230 km (100-145 mi), depending on where motor transportation is used and where the trek is ended. This trek crosses two different river valleys and encircles the Annapurna massif. The path reaches its highest point at Thorung La pass (5416m/17769 ft), touching the edge of the Tibetan plateau.

Practically all trekkers hike the route anticlockwise, as this way the daily altitude gain is slower, and crossing the high Thorong La pass is easier and safer. The mountain scenery, seen at close quarters includes the Annapurna Massif (Annapurna I-IV), Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Manaslu, Gangapurna, Tilicho Peak, Pisang Peak, and Paungda Danda. Numerous other peaks of 6000-8000m in elevation rise from the Annapurna range. The trek begins at Besisahar or Bhulbhule in the Marshyangdi river valley and concludes in the Kali Gandaki Gorge. Besisahar can be reached after a seven-hour drive from Kathmandu.

The post Ghandruk Trek appeared first on Ruiyang Treks & Expedition Pvt.
